The birth of a baby can be a very exciting time; it can also feel overwhelming, sad and anxiety provoking.  At times, we forget about the challenges that come with the transition of welcoming a new member to the family.  We often times expect that this will be the “happiest time of our life” and when this is not the case, we can feel depressed or disconnected from the baby or those around us.  1 in 7 moms experience postpartum mood disorders and 1 in 10 dads can also experience this.  You are not alone, if this is happening to you.
