Anxiety can feel like an activation of your mind and your body.  Often times anxiety comes with racing thoughts, increased breathing rate, increased heart rate, upset stomach, and feeling like things are out of control.  Strategies to help with anxiety include the introduction of relaxation strategies, grounding techniques, and ways to calm the racing thoughts or replace unhelpful thoughts with ones that are a bit more helpful.  Strategies that include ways to soothe the nervous system as well as critically examining thoughts, are most helpful.
